Bengaluru Torpedoes Volleyball Academy
The Bengaluru Torpedoes Volleyball Academy, the training arm of the Prime Volleyball League team, is headquartered at CSE and recognised by the FIVB as a Volleyball Centre of Excellence in India. It is built to create a clear pathway for the sport, connecting grassroots development with professional-level exposure within a single system. The academy also runs outreach programmes with schools to introduce volleyball at the grassroots level, alongside structured training pathways for young athletes within the programme. Technical leadership comes from David Lee, American middle blocker, Olympic gold medallist (Beijing 2008), Olympic bronze medallist (Rio 2016), and a three-time Olympian. The programme focuses on passing and serve receive, setting, middle and wing attack, and block timing, supported by regular match play and tournament exposure, with defined progression across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
